Slovakia's Premier Robert Fico, Czech opposition leader Jiri Paroubek and former German chancellor Gerhard Schroeder (L-R) pose at Obecni Dum, Prague, Czech Republic, 23 January 2007. During a talk at a restaurant in the historic Old Town the three Social Democrats discussed, among other things, the future structuring of Europe. Brief mention was also of current negotiations between Prague and the USA on the contingent deployment of an American radar unit in the Czech Republic as well as of a German-Czeck declaration of reconciliation, signed exactly ten years ago. After the meeting Schroeder and Paroubek, who entertain a cordial relationship, joined in a cultural event. Photo: Bjoern Steinz
