This brand is highly decorated like its mash mates, with 120 awards in various spirits competitions across the world! Since 1897, the E.H. Taylor brand has remained of the topmost class with its commitment to deliver bottle-in-bond quality. With that being said, people are constantly vying to get their hands on this bourbon at any cost.
The Cigar: The E.H. Taylor Corojo has been crafted to capture the expressions that you’re looking for from the E.H. Taylor bourbon, and pairs very well. If you’re lucky enough to find a bottle, I highly recommend you try it! But if not, this cigar’s medium body pairs well with your bourbon of choice. This blend is chockful of notes of toasted oak, natural sweetness, spice, and delicate floral notes. From the first draw to the last ash, this is one of the finest expressions of Corojo on the market today! Available in boxes of 15, sized in Corona (6” x 46), Robusto (5” x 50), and Toro Gordo (6” x 56), you have options to choose from. I could go on and on about some of the best duos in the world: surf and turf, Dumb and Dumber, The New Age Outlaws…but today, I’m here to talk about a legendary duo that all of us can rally behind: cigars and bourbon. And what better place to start than Buffalo Trace distillery? With over 200 years in the business, there’s few that can hold a candle to that history.
So let’s take a look under the hood, shall we? Buffalo Trace cigars start off with a potent yet balanced mix of barrel aged Piloto Cubano and Nicaraguan long-filler tobaccos that are encased inside a Brazilian Arapiraca binder and then finished with dark, oily Ecuadorian Sumatra wrapper. Expect notes of cedar, cashews, and leather with hints of vanilla and spice on the finish. Incredibly balanced and unique, Buffalo Trace adds another ‘W’ to their resume and delivers one of the finest cigars we’ve had in long time. Oh, and it pairs exceptionally well with a few fingers of the good stuff.
