Walkthrough - 3D Pre Render asset for 2D games

I started by collecting a few references of the art style (in that case was Clash of Clans) and sketching an idea I had in mind (3 hours on Zbrush)
Here I felt that the concept is fine, but checking back my references and since the game is a Isometric topview. I notice that most of the assets in game have a shape that resembles more a trapeze then a box. So I made adjusts for that.
After spending sometime with mental ray in 3D Max, I get a light/render setup that I like. (Since I never had much previous experience with mental ray I spent sometime with studies for this 3 hours).
PS.: This time around i would do it in VRay thought., easier to setup and betters results (IMHO)
While texturing and making previews inside the game screenshot, I decided to remove some details and create more information to better read the main shapes (like wheels, front spikes and counter weight stone. 4 hours )
This what I used for texturing this piece. Rope, Stone and Wood
Output render + a bit of sharpen in Photoshop.
How the final asset would look inside the game.
