This man made touristy spot goes from downtown Monterrey to the historic Fundidora. You can start at one end early in the day and end at the other. We have come here multiple times while visiting Monterrey as a way of getting away from the congestion of the metropolis. The walk is peaceful with plenty of photo opportunities as well as small mom and pop places to grab a snack or bite to eat. The entire walk from end to end didn't take us very long. We walked slowly, it took us a little over an hour.

The "touristy" thing to do in Monterrey.
It's a man-made river that is very peaceful to walk/jog along, or take a boat ride down. A ticket gets you a ride to the end and back, but I only took it 1 way and then walked back (I really enjoyed the walk more). The boat had a tour guide, but it was in Spanish, so I couldn't enjoy it as much as others.
At the far end, it drops you off in the industrial sites of Monterrey, which includes a museum.
Myself, I loved how peaceful of a walk it is and how many pretty places there are to take photos. Plenty of bathrooms along the way, as well as playgrounds and workout areas.
You can even enjoy a drink along the water at the restaurant about halfway through.
All in all, nice thing to do, but won't give you that 'wow' factor if you're comparing tourist attractions.Helpful 4Thanks 0Love this 4Oh no 0 - Jocelyn W.Eastlake, OH3532282Sep 4, 2019

If you're in Monterrey this place is a must see. Imagine the Riverwalk of San Antone without the nasty smells but a gazillion times bigger with much better food.

Nice and short boat ride on a man made river that takes you through a famous park in Monterrey lined by restaurants and hotels. This is similar to the river walk in San Antonio. The boat ride was short and the guide is only spoken in Spanish so I wasn't able to really get any information other than to take in the nice scenery. At the end of the boat tour is the famous steel bucket fountain which is a good photo op.
