Halo Reach and ODST on Xbox One could happen - Halo: Reach

Halo: Reach and Halo 3: ODST may eventually come to Xbox One. It's certainly on the minds of developers at 343 Industries as they prepare to bring Halo: The Master Chief Collection to the Xbox One in November.

"What I can tell you is probably the biggest question we get from people is, what about ODST and Reach,”  343 Industries Producer Dan Ayoub told VideoGamer. “What I can say is it's certainly not in our development timeline or planning right now [but] we've heard that question so much that it has seeped into our collective subconscious. I think enough people have asked about it that we are thinking about it."

The two games were excluded from the collection for a couple of reasons, according to Ayoub. First off, with Halo 5 coming to Xbox One next year, 343 wanted its focus to be on the “Master Chief-centric games" for The Master Chief Collection. Secondly, Ayoub says that fitting all six Halo games on one disk would have been problematic, as they are already “squeezing everything” they can out of the available disk space.

Halo: The Master Chief Collection is set to release on November 11 in the US and November 14 in the UK, exclusively on Xbox One. IGN's Jose Otero recently went hands-on with Halo 2's revamped multiplayer and came away thinking that it's "pretty darn impressive."
