Touch-sensitive music controls will have you yelping "Cool!" aloud. Easy to navigate media player. Smaller folded size makes awkward bulge in pants slightly less awkward. Battery life, memory slot, camera resolution, screen brightness all improved from the RAZR. Impressive speakers for a cell phone.

The RAZR is the runway models of cell phones: anorexic but fashionable. The new KRZR K1 is the same runway model, but with more memory, a shorter chassis, and a bigger bottom. Yet somehow we found it strangely more desirable than a RAZR. Our unit came outfitted with nifty MP3 playback and VCAST services letting us alternately rock out or watch music videos and TV shows. (Really, who can resist a 5-minute Daily Show clip?) But for longtime RAZR users, the incremental improvements this handset offers might not spark enough "KRZ" to warrant the hassle of an upgrade.
