Sophie Turner and Joe Jonas tied the knot in Las Vegas.
Hours after the Jonas Brothers performed at the Billboard Music Awards, Turner and Jonas held a surprise wedding at the city's famous A Little White Wedding Chapel. (They are far from the only celebrity couple to marry at the famed spot—Frank Sinatra, Joan Collins, Michael Jordan, and Britney Spears wed there as well. Glimpses of the wedding were seen on Diplo's Instagram stories. He filmed Turner walking down the aisle in a silk top and pants to an acoustic version of “Speechless.” Nick Jonas and Kevin Jonas stood by as groomsmen.
The ceremony took place in the venue's Chapel L'Amour, which has velvet love-seats, and plush red carpeting. The officiant was an Elvis impersonator (that's tradition!). He asked them to look into each other's eyes and repeat: “I promise you, I will never leave you. I will love and trust you, all the days of my life.” Afterward, Elvis broke into a rendition of "Viva Las Vegas," and the whole crowd began dancing.
This wedding may be the first of two—previous reports suggested the couple will also wed this summer in France.
Turner and Jonas got engaged back in October 2017. The Game of Thrones actress was 21 at the time. She opened up about her young engagement to Rolling Stone: “I think once you’ve found the right person, you just know. I feel like I’m much older a soul than I am in age. I feel like I’ve lived enough life to know.”
