Is Eminem really on dating apps Tinder and Grindr? Here's why people are going crazy

Eminem attends the premiere of 'Southpaw' in New York on July 20, 2015.

So... are you joking, Eminem? The Internet can't decide.

The rapper is making Twitter-users scratch their heads over some interesting revelations in an interview with Vulture Monday — namely, that he uses gay dating app Grindr along with dating app Tinder.

Here's the excerpt of the Q&A in question:

When you were dating, how’d you meet people? Tinder?
I mean, yeah.

Are you being serious?
Yeah, Tinder.

Really?
[Laughs] And Grindr. I also used to go to strip clubs.

The comments came as a surprise to many as Eminem is known for using offensive language about the LGBT community in his music. He was also married to Kimberly Anne Scott from 1999 to 2001, and again for a short period in 2006. They share a daughter, Hailie.

Here's what the Internet had to say about the interview:

Some were convinced this was the rapper's way of opening up about his sexuality.

"Eminem said he uses Grindr to find dates. Honestly, no surprised," one wrote.

"(In my honest opinion) I don't think Eminem was really joking when he said he uses Grindr. He is very smart and self-aware," comedian and TV personality Billy Eichner wrote on Twitter. "I think he knows people will *think* he's joking - and that his rep will say he's joking - but I don't think he's joking. And good for him!"

Others thought the comment was just a joke.

"Am I missing something or is it not obvious the Eminem Grindr thing was a joke," one user tweeted.

"Eminem was joking about using Grindr. These sites really don’t know his humor. Also, even if he is bisexual? That’s awesome. Nothing wrong with that at all," another user tweeted.

Some thought it was just a way to seek attention.

"Now if Eminem is gay or bi I really don’t mind, like that’s his business but if he says all this things for attention I think he’s a fool for that.. you can’t just say some stuff because you seek attention," one person wrote.

Others thought the reporter should've followed-up on his answer so we could know the truth.

"There's been a lot of great journalism in 2017, but the reported (sic) who didn't ask Eminem any followup questions about using Grindr has let down their entire profession," one user wrote.

"This Eminem using Grindr story reminds me of that scene in The Interview except this time the interviewer just didn’t follow up on it," another wrote.
