The Eiffel Tower will welcome its visitors again from June 25th

After over 3 months of closing due to the Covid-19 pandemic –the longest closing time since the WWII – the Eiffel Tower will re-open its doors to the public from Thursday, June 25th, 2020 at 10am.

In order to welcome visitors in the best conditions and to ensure a safe visiting experience, some measures and precautions are taken to protect our visitors’ and staff’s health: 

• all visitors (from 11 year’s old) shall wear a face mask ;
• at first, only visits by the stairs will be available (second floor tickets by stairs including visit of the first floor). To ensure that ascending and descending visitors do not meet in the stairs, ascent will take place from the East pillar and descent by the West pillar ;
• a limited number of visitors on the esplanade and on each floor will be secured ;
• significant signage and ground markings are installed to implement physical distancing ; 
• daily cleaning and disinfection of public spaces at the Tower.

The re-opening date of our online ticket office will be soon communicated. We strongly encourage our visitors to opt for online ticket purchase, in order to avoid the wait at the Tower’s ticket offices and therefore, use contactless payment.  

As the situation evolves, the lifts taking our visitors to the second floor can be quickly put back into service under appropriate conditions, with a very limited number of persons on-board. The top level remains closed for now since the lifts taking visitors from second to top floor are small. It might re-open during the summer.
