Britney’s coming! In related news, metro reports Cheetos shortage

Roadies for Britney Spears’ “Circus” tour are loading equipment into the Sprint Center at this very moment! Shani Tate Ross, the director of communications and marketing at the Sprint Center, says that tomorrow night’s show is nearly sold out, with mostly premium and VIP tickets still available. Those seats run $125 to $549. It’s Britney, bitch, and “recession” ain’t in her vocabulary.

Ross also wants to remind ticket holders that the show starts right at 7:00 p.m., which is an hour earlier than the tickets indicate. That’s 7:00 sharp, like a Pussy Cat Doll’s stilettos. Fans can enter using both entrances, on Grand Avenue and on Oak.

Britney’s got people in KC, Ross says. “Our general manager, Brenda Tinnen, worked with Britney a ton in the past,” Ross says, “so she’s familiar with Britney’s level of expectations.” Expectations like what? “Oh, the same home comforts you’d expect,” Ross says.

Well, TheSmokingGun.com has a copy of Britney’s tour rider from 2000, which specifies that she wants stuff like Cool Ranch Doritos, Coke, Gatorade and red Altoids in her dressing room. No Starbucks? No Cheetos? Britney’s comforts of home have definitely changed. Heads up, GM Brenda.

This Just In (2:56 p.m.): There will be an official Britney afterparty tomorrow night at Mint Ultra Lounge featuring performances by Alicia Solo of the Beautiful Bodies, recent Mastermind winner Ron Megee and Chadwick Brooks.
