Sometimes thought of as the quintessential Southern California shrub, Rhus integrifolia is endemic to coastal and inland chaparral from Santa Barbara into northern Baja California. Reaching heights of 10-12 feet it bears small white spring flowers that become groupings of tart orange or yellow fruit.
