Description

The term "trajinera" refers to "trajín", because it was also how merchandise was transported from Xochimilco to Mexico City, this type of tour was for the elite, there were steamships in which these tours were made. The trajineras, in addition to being one of the great emblems of Xochimilco, have become the only means of transportation that dates back to pre-Hispanic times. Today it is a very popular tourist attraction, where people can boating, eat and listen to live mariachi music.
