30 years ago, the fourth reactor at the Chernobyl nuclear power station changed the face of nuclear energy. Nonetheless some two kilometers from the plant was communist paradise in the form of the city of Pripyat. Built in mind to demonstrate top Soviet urban architecture and planning, it had come to symbolise as one of the most advanced cities in the Soviet Union, an incarnation of Soviet utopia. One fatal night on 26 April 1986, communist paradise disappeared forever.
