The Gangkhar Puensum is the highest mountain in Bhutan and the tallest unclimbed mountain in the world. It stands at 24,836 ft but is off-limits after 19,700 ft for cultural and spiritual beliefs.
The Muchu Chhish Peak stands at a whopping 24,452 ft, a part of the Hispar Muztagh subrange in the Karakoram Range. Several attempts were made, including by British and Spanish mountaineers, yet the mountain remains unclimbed.
Also referred to as Kabru IV, the peak is a ridge that extends south from Kangchenjunga and is located on the border of India and eastern Nepal. It stands unclimbed at 24,318 ft with a confusing terrain making it difficult for mountaineers to conquer it.
Located on the border between India and China, Sia Kangri stands at 24,350 ft in the Eastern Karakoram Range. It is known for its remoteness and difficult terrain. Sia Kangri summit is also the tri-point where territories controlled by India, Pakistan and China meet.
Melungtse, at 23,858 feet, is a less-climbed and never fully charted peak in the Himalayas, situated on the border between Tibet and Nepal. Its steep and challenging faces have deterred many attempts.
Often seen as the highest unclimbed and non-prohibited peak of the world, Labuche Kang III stands at a grand 23,786 ft. It rises northwest of Rolwaling Himal and east of Shishapangma.
Rimo I is part of the Rimo Muztagh subrange in the Karakoram Range and stands at 23,871 ft. It is known for its remoteness and the technical challenges its steep faces pose. The name Rimo means "striped mountain."
At 23,691 ft, the Karjiang I is the highest peak in the Karjiang group of mountains. The mountain is in the Tibet Autonomous Region near the Bhutan-Tibet border and remains unclimbed.
Mount Kailash is an imposing mountain considered sacred in four religions, namely, Bon, Buddhism, Jainism, and Hinduism. It stands at 21,778 ft in the western part of the Tibetan Plateau and is largely considered to be inaccessible.
Baltoro Kangri is a magnificent 23,901 ft-high peak in the Karakoram Range and is known for its challenging routes and technical climbing. The huge Baltoro Glacier rises from the foot of Baltoro Kangri.
