Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell: Conviction is the fifth console game in the Splinter Cell franchise. It was released on April 13, 2010 in North America. In this next installment, Sam Fisher has left Third Echelon since the events of Double Agent and begins the story working by himself on his personal mission. In a drastic change from the previous games, Sam is perceived to be much quicker, stronger and far more brutal in his quest for truth. The game features several new gameplay elements and mechanics including Mark and Execute, which allows the player to target multiple enemies and instantly kill them when the player has a clear shot.

Splinter Cell Conviction's official servers were shut down back in 2021, but thankfully like earlier Splinter Cell games that had multiplayer on PC it had and still has traditional LAN multiplayer functionality, we can use this to play with other people from around the world without needing to connect to official servers
This should also work without RadminVPN if you and your friend are both connected through the same network (eg: same wifi connection) but we'll use RadminVPN to make it also work on internet.

I've searched half the internet, downloaded several savegames, and used a hex editor, but I still can't figure out a seemingly simple thing: Unlocking the exclusive content for the Steam version that the players of the Uplay version just got unlocked. Especially the 3rd echolon map and the silenced shotgun.

I spent more time failing in the old splinter cell than I did winning in the new one. Sucked so bad at the originals but I tried and tried and got no where lol. Conviction I skipped through half asleep and gave up due to blandness. I got so much farther in conviction than I did in any of the others and did it in a fraction of the time cuz despite sucking at the old ones so bad they had mechanics and a feeling to them that I just would not give up on. Until I did lol. Conviction was just the same dumbed down stealth game that they keep releasing. New hitman new thief were pussy bland compared to the originals. I do like the new hitmans though. But yeah bland bitch stealth
Ubisoft pulled an EA-like move on Splinter Cell Conviction - stupefy the game for casual players with low expectations to make more money. It was a really stupid business move changing the formula of a great stealth, espionage game series. In the end, they made less money than they could have if they had started a new series separate from Splinter Cell.
The game isn't that bad. It's fun to play and definetly something new and innovative.
But I have to aggree that Conviction deserves its own series. I really miss the pure stealth gameplay from the older games.

Splinter Cell Conviction doesn't rock just because you love it. Most reviewers gave Conviction an 8/10 and many others gave it an even lower score. Conviction was okay, but not GREAT! I gripe when an obviously overrated game is labeled as innovative and great, adjectives that do not describe this game. Unfortunately, the easier = better trend is popular among young, casual video gamers. This trend for simplification has reduced the basis of what a good game is to "if it looks good and sounds nice, then its a great game." Naturally, this is a reaction to the previous, opposite trend - the more complex the game is, the better the game is.
