The name David Beckham is synonymous with looking good. He can pull off a three-piece suit as well as jeans and a T-shirt. The guy can maintain a polished look even when sporting a bit of scruff, likely thanks to a diligent grooming routine. In short, Beckham looks great for 42—hell, he looks great for any age.

Beckham looks so good, in fact, that it's not difficult to see how someone might be tempted to suggest that he's had a helping hand in looking so good. So when an image of the former Manchester United player at Victoria Beckham’s fashion show was shared on Vogue UK’s Instagram recently, it prompted speculation that Beckham had gotten Botox.

“Botox looks good on David!” commented one follower. Beckham addressed the commenter, saying “I don’t agree with Botox, miss @stasdoeshair but I’ll take it as a compliment.”

As he should. He may not have turned to Botox, but Beckham certainly knows how to take care of himself. Although he retired from the soccer field in 2013, Beckham has kept up a strict workout routine, which historically has included sprints, resistance training, and weights. As a trained athlete, his workouts also include a sufficient amount of warmup and foam rolling time.

And while that certainly helps keep Beckham’s body in shape, consistent workouts also keep you looking and feeling younger. But if Beckham does eventually decide on getting a little help from Botox, we don’t judge, so long as he follows a few of the rules for subtle, natural-looking Botox and doesn’t go overboard.
