Royal Caribbean Freedom of the Seas

Project Type: FlowRider and Adventure Ocean Kids Club

Location: Cruise Ship

In 2020, Royal Caribbean selected Life Floor to surface Freedom of the Seas’ FlowRider and Adventure Ocean Kids Club areas.

Life Floor is often specified on FlowRider wave simulators to add slip-resistance to its ramps. Combined with the ability to add custom branding into the tiles, this has been a popular choice for cruise ships.

Life Floor’s custom cutting capabilities also allow for highly detailed themed designs, perfect for surfacing kids play zones on board the ship. These cushioned tiles have a lightweight density ranging between 9.3-10.3 lbs per cubic foot (depending on thickness) and are IMO Certified. They are closed-cell, cleanable, and resistant to any growth as proven through third-party testing. Together, these features provide a safer, more vibrant surfacing option for dry play areas on cruise ships.
