Joe Jonas has filed for divorce from Sophie Turner after four years of marriage, The Times has confirmed.

The pop musician submitted paperwork Tuesday in Florida’s Miami-Dade County stating that his relationship with the actor is “irretrievably broken.” Jonas took legal action soon after reports surfaced over the weekend that he had hired a divorce attorney.

The “Sucker” singer, 34, and the “Game of Thrones” alum, 27, wed in 2019 after dating for about three years. Jonas’ divorce petition indicates that the two intend to share custody of their children, ages 1 and 3.

The filing also confirms that Jonas and Turner signed a prenuptial agreement, noting that both parties “have the ability” and “should ... be required” to provide financial support for their kids.

The celebrity spouses welcomed their first daughter, Willa, in July 2020. Almost exactly two years later, Turner gave birth to a second daughter, whose name they have not revealed.

The Jonas Brothers member and the “Dark Phoenix” star had been relatively open about their relationship, often attending industry events together and posting loving photos documenting their romance on social media. Turner also appeared to have formed a bond with jewelry designer Danielle Jonas and actor Priyanka Chopra, who are married to Kevin and Nick Jonas, respectively.

In May 2019, Jonas and Turner spontaneously obtained a marriage license and tied the knot in Las Vegas. About a month later, they wed again in a private, more formal ceremony in Provence, France, attended by friends and family.

“2 years as your wife holy moly I love you bub,” Turner captioned a black-and-white photo in June 2021 of the happy couple walking down the aisle.

Earlier this month, the Emmy nominee shared a photo of her kissing her husband’s hand backstage at Yankee Stadium. Turner, Chopra and Danielle Jonas have been spotted supporting their spouses during the Jonas Brothers’ ongoing concert tour.

Despite their PDAs, Turner and Jonas have made a serious effort to raise their children in private.

Both parents have avoided sharing photos of their daughters on social media. And in May 2021, Turner slammed “creepy” paparazzi for trying to photograph her and her eldest child.

“I just want to say that the reason that I have been not posting pictures of my daughter — and making sure that we can avoid paparazzi at all costs — is because I explicitly do not want those photos out there,” she explained at the time.

“I’m sickened. I’m disgusted. And I’m respectfully asking everyone to stop following us around and stop trying to take pictures of our daughter — and especially printing them. It is disgusting, and you do not have my permission.”

Two years later, Turner accidentally shared a video of one of her kids on her Instagram story. Upon realizing her mistake, Turner quickly deleted the video and implored her followers not to post the footage elsewhere online.

“We have always advocated for our kids’ rights to privacy so sharing this publicly is something that is against anything I stand for,” she said.

“Our children deserve the right to grow up out of the public eye, to learn and grow in private. ... I would greatly appreciate if anyone who has reposted on any other platform, please delete the video.”
