Operacion Bolivar, by Edgar Clément

Edgar Clément was born in Mexico City in 1967. He made his debut in 1988 with some comics and illustrations published in El Búho, the cultural supplement of the Excelsior newspaper. He participated in the periodical Gallito Comics since the start in 1992. He has also worked for magazines and papers like El Dominical (supplement of El Nacional), La Jornada Semanal (supplement of La Jornada), PC Magazine, Manufactura, QUO, Deporte Internacional, Switch and Cine Premiere. He got a scholarship for Canada and traveled through the USA.

His most popular creation is the graphic novel 'Operacion Bolivar', which first appeared in 1994, published by Editorial Planeta Mexico. His second graphic novel was 'Súcubus'. In 2000, he cooperated on the collective album 'Sensacional de Chilangos'. Between 1998 and 2001 he was part of Taller del Perro, a group of artists involved in the promotion of Mexican comics. More recently, he became a member of Studio F, where he has worked on the coloring of Marvel Comcis.
