Obituary

Carrie Marie Fleming was a young woman with a big heart and a sweet spirit. She had a warm smile and she loved spending time with her family and friends. She was born on July 17, 1995 to Vergie F. Jones and Larry Jones, Sr. Carrie brought immediate joy to the family with her bright eyes and her big smile. KoKo as she was affectionately called was educated in the Jackson Public Schools where she completed her education at Wingfield High School. She furthered her education at Hinds Community College with an Associate Degree in Criminal Justice. KoKo was a hard worker, she was employed at UMMC and UPS.

Carrie was raised to be a God fearing woman. At an early age she joined New Bethel MB Church. KoKo's life was filled with happiness, she was always surrounded by family and friends. KoKo was a great mother, her biggest joy was being with her son Alex, he was the joy of her life. Her mom was her solid rock, she shared her ups and downs with her. KoKo loved hanging out with her dad and brothers. She had a special bond with her sister Cameron and her brother Larry Jr. Oh and she loved the color blue, she loved it so much she decided to make it her hair color. 

Rejoicing and remembering her life are: mother, Vergie Fleming Smith (Milton), father, Larry D. Jones, Sr., sisters, Cameron C. Jones, Cassie Jones and Markecia Jones. She is survived by 3 brothers, Larry D. Jones, Jr. (Gyarna), Ladarian Jones (Lisa) Johnathan Fleming and Avery Fleming (Christina). One niece, Paisleigh Marie Jonesand one nephew Landon Omar Hall. Remembering her smile are: grandparents Vergie Blair Flemings, Reverend Fred E. Fleming (Earnestine), Clyde Anderson and a host of aunts, uncles, and cousins. She was proceeded in death by her son Alex Avery Fleming, and grandmother Elease Jones Anderson and grandfather Sammie Potts. 

Carrie accepted her crown on October 10, 2022. For if we live, we live to the Lord, and if we die to the Lord. So then, whether we live or where the we die, we are the Lord's. Roman 14:8
