Handsome, chisel-jawed character actor Kevin McCarthy appeared in nearly 100 movies in a career that spanned seven decades. He also had some starring roles, most notably the horror cult classic Invasion of the Body Snatchers (1956). He played the disillusioned son Biff Loman in the 1951 screen adaptation of Arthur Miller's classic Death of a Salesman (1951), for which he was nominated for a Best Supporting Actor Oscar and won the Golden Globe Award for most promising newcomer (male).
He is the younger brother of the late author Mary McCarthy and distant cousin of former U.S. Senator and presidential candidate Eugene McCarthy.
McCarthy was orphaned at the age of four when both his parents died in the great flu epidemic of 1918. He was raised by his father's parents in Minneapolis, Minnesota, and later by an uncle and aunt. He graduated from Campion Jesuit High School in Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin, in 1932. He attended the School of Foreign Service at Georgetown University, Washington, DC, in 1933, intending to enter into the diplomatic field. He also attended the University of Minnesota, Minneapolis, in 1936 and the Actors Studio New York, New York. He had roles in two short-lived TV series: The Survivors (1969), with Lana Turner, and Flamingo Road (1980) as Claude Weldon, the father of the character played by Morgan Fairchild.
The stage-trained McCarthy frequently appeared on Broadway. He starred as Jerry in "Two for the Seesaw" (1959) and as Van Ackerman in "Advise and Consent" (1960). He also played President Harry S. Truman in the one-man show "Give 'Em Hell, Harry!"
McCarthy showed no signs of retiring as late as June 2007. McCarthy acted in the film The Ghastly Love of Johnny X (2012), playing the role of the Grand Inquisitor, at age 93, which was finally released in 2011. He died of pneumonia on September 11, 2010.- Actress

Born and raised in Paterson, NJ, Bernard Jones realized, at a young age, that he was born for greatness. He started acting and singing in church, and he later joined a performing arts company. With this company, he traveled the USA sharing his gifts with everyone. Bernard attended high school at Rosa L. Parks School of Fine and Performing Arts. After graduating, he continued his education at Morehouse College in Atlanta, GA, where he received his B.A. in Theatre. While in college, Bernard was given the opportunity of a lifetime. He went out, on an international tour, singing backgrounds for Grammy nominated singer Lyfe Jennings.
Bernard's first professional show was at the Alliance Theatre. He played Lil D in Andre 3000's Class of 3000. Working with Andre 3000 was a dream realized, He's played Mushu in Disney's Mulan and originated the role of JB in The Real Tweenagers of Atlanta, to name a few. Michael Lavelle I.S.C. studied both Cinematography and Direction at the National Film School of Ireland and then completed an MA in Screenwriting.
As a cinematographer, a short graduation film he shot called UNDRESSING MY MOTHER went on to screen at Critics Week in Cannes and received a special mention at Sundance. It went on to win the European Academy Award for Best Short Film in 2005.
His debut documentary feature film HIS & HERS premiered at Sundance in 2010 where Michael shared the World Cinema Cinematography Award for Documentary. Asako Fujioka, on behalf of the Sundance jury, praised cinematography: "for its Vermeer like qualities and formal restraint".
PATRICK'S DAY, Michael's debut dramatic feature film, received its world premiere at SXSW 2014 and in 2015 he was nominated for an IFTA for his work on the film. At Woodstock Film Festival, Michael was awarded the Haskell Wexler Award for Best Cinematography. Wexler said that he gave the award "based on what I consider true cinematography, not just on the traditional dexterity. Michael Lavelle's work on "Patrick's Day" shows a profound understanding of the story and his ability to employ DP skills is subtle in unselfconscious ways to subliminally involve the viewer."
He has shot three TV series and has just completed principal photography on his twelfth feature film. In 2018, FLOAT LIKE A BUTTERFLY received its World Premiere at TIFF where it went on to win the Critics Award (FIRPRESCI Award). He was recently named by Variety as Irish Cinematography's "rising star".
Michael also works extensively as a writer and director. He wrote and directed the multi award winning short film 'Out of the Blue', described as boasting "excellent performances, vivid production design and an economy of story-telling that mark the director as a talent to look out for in the future".
In 2011 he was nominated for the Berlinale Today Award for 'Mummy's Little Helper', which he wrote and directed. In 2012, he was the writer/director on the short Screeen Ireland Award film 'Cluck' which was nominated for an IFTA in 2014.
His debut feature screenplay '6 Hours' won the Irish Playwright's & Screenwriter's Guild Award for Screenwriting at the National Film School and is in development with Screen Ireland. Michael is attached to direct.

Born and raised in Philadelphia, P.A., Xiomara Bernard is the daughter of a former Cuban refugee and a former Cuban political prisoner. Bernard grew up taking lessons in piano and ballet, but acting was always the career that took precedence inside her heart.
Bernard is mostly known in the independent film community. She has worked on short films, one of them being "April's Way", which has gone to Cannes, music videos, voice-overs, plays, and feature films, including Brielle Brilliant's feature film "Firstness", which won the Grand Jury Prize Award at the Outfest Film Festival. "Firstness" is currently streaming on Apple TV+ and Amazon Prime. In between working for other visionaries, Bernard runs a production company, Theophilus Films. Actor and multi-instrumentalist Richárd Bernard is seen frequently in whimsical commercials playing Contra Bass Balalaika, Bouzouki, Sitar, Concertina, Didgeridoo or other exotic instruments. He is known for his work on films Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, Iron Man, Oscar-winner The Artist, Love Affair, TV shows Gilmore Girls, Monk and many more. When not leading his Klezmer-fusion band The OY!Stars, he has performed with the Los Angeles Philharmonic and Hollywood Bowl Orchestra and been seen by millions as the Orchestra Conductor in United Airlines commercials and other TV shows and films. Born in Brooklyn, NY, Richárd began playing music professionally in rural Georgia by age 13 including backing up Jerry Lee Lewis and other Sun Records Rockabilly pioneers. At age 20 after earning a BFA in Theatre from University of Georgia, he moved to Atlanta where he wrote and performed songs for theatre and bands, including a "black consciousness raising theater" of which he was a founding member along with Samuel L. He acted the role of mysterious G-Man in Half-Life: Raise the Bar and many Mafia characters. Kurt Taylor was born and raised in Houston, Texas. He attended Evans E. Worthing Junior and Senior High school--played football, baseball and ran track. Graduated from high school in the mid-sixties. Norman Lear also hired Kurt as a staff writer on some of his other shows, such as "The Jeffersons" and "Sanford". John Bernard Richardson was born on Oct 16 in Boston Massachusetts. He began filmmaking in the 1980s and is an alumni of the School of Visual Arts in New York City where he studied film directing in 1993. Early on he was a successful model and actor in television commercials and studied under the tutelage of renowned acting teacher Susan Batson who was an attendee at the school of visual arts. Bernard Duc is Swiss composer based in London. He is known for having contributed to the soundtrack of acclaimed TV shows such as the BBC/HBO fantasy drama 'His Dark Materials' (2022), the Netflix comedy 'Man vs. Bee' (2022) featuring Rowan Atkinson, or the documentary 'Life On Our Planet' (2023). He has also worked as an orchestrator for various projects including 'Gran Turismo' (2023), the BBC Proms concert 'Fantasy, Myths and Legends', and 'Life On Our Planet' (2023).- Bernard Luther White IV is a Captain in the United States Army who grew up in South Carolina. Born in Passaic, New Jersey on July 4th 1930, Ferde Grofe Jr. is the son of arranger and composer Ferde Grofe, a fixture is popular orchestral music from the 1920s - 1950's. Trained as an actor, he moved into filmmaking via a period as Columbia Studios Clover Productions as an assistant to legendary producer Sam Katzman, followed by his own forays into indie filmmaking first with AIP, then with his longtime collaborator George Montgomery in the Philippines. His highly regarded breakout movies are Fortress of the Dead (1965) and Warkill (1968). In 1969 he filmed The Proud and the Damned (1972) in Colombia, and in 1970 produced the disappointing Ride the Tiger (1970) for CBS. In 1971 he filmed the cult movie The Day of the Wolves (1971) in Lake Havasu, Arizona, his one and only feature film shot on the continental US. Following a sabbatical period in Colombia he returned to the States in the mid-1970's to make Sentimental Journey (1976), a documentary short about the retirement of the Douglas DC-3 airplane, featuring and narrated by Hollywood star Jimmy Stewart, a project he notes as the high point of his career. Two more movies made in the Philippines, Hell Raiders (1988) and a horror film, The Third Hand (1988) would round out his feature film production career. Jean-Michel is an experienced and versatile composer who has most recently scored the feature film 'Money' for director Gela Babluani.
Jean-Michel Bernard began playing the piano at the age of two. When he was 14, he received first place at the Bordeaux Conservatory and later graduated from the Paris 'Ecole Normale de Musique'. At 19, he recorded with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra in London, whilst pursuing a career as a jazz musician and performing with prominent Jazz artists such as Wild Bill Davis, Jimmy Woode (Duke Ellington's bassist) and Eddie Davis among others.
His career as a composer began with animated films, then as musical director of the successful radio show L'Oreille en Coin on National Pubic Radio France Inter from 1987 to 1991. Collaborators include Philip Kaufman, Lalo Schifrin, Ennio Morricone, Claude Bolling, and many more. Between 2000 and 2003, he performed with the Ray Charles Quartet on the European and Australian tours as organist and conductor, "this guy is a genius" Ray used to say concerning Jean-Michel Bernard. He also scored many documentaries and commercials during the 90's.
He frequently works with director Michel Gondry and has composed songs for films including 'Human Nature' and 'The Science of Sleep', which screened at the Sundance and Berlin Film Festivals. He was nominated for the World Soundtrack Awards in 2007 as Discovery of the Year and won the France Musique/UCMF award at the Cannes Film Festival the same year.
In 2008 he scored the music for Michel Gondry's 'Be Kind Rewind', 'Cash' by Eric Besnard, and 'A Pain in the Ass' by Francis Veber. The same day 'Be Kind Rewind' was shown at Sundance Festival, Jean-Michel Bernard performed alongside rapper/ singer Mos Def and Gondry, an avid drummer.
The following year, the Cannes Film Festival invited Jean-Michel to represent France in the film music concert program. He also received an award for his achievement outside of his native country from the European Union of Film Music Composers (UCMF) and was appointed as sound designer for both HBO's channel and website.
In 2010 he collaborated with French actress and director Fanny Ardant on her film Chimères Absentes and worked on Academy Award-winning feature film 'Hugo' by Martin Scorsese. In 2013, he collaborated again with Fanny Ardant for her movie 'Cadences Obstinées' starring Gerard Depardieu, and scored the music to Joel Hopkins' film 'Love Punch' starring Pierce Brosnan and Emma Thompson. In 2015 he scored 'Love at First Child' by Anne Giafferi.
In 2014, Jean-Michel Bernard began teaching film music classes at the Paris Conservatory and was guest of honor with Michael Giacchino at the Audi Talent Awards in Paris with the Paris Symphonic Orchestra, at Braunschweig Festival and at Soundtrack Cologne Festival.
He participated as composer, arranger and performer on the upcoming album by 'The Avalanches' and scored 'Terra', a contemporary dance project which premiered at the Coronet Theatre in London in March 2016.- Sound Department

Andrei Sas is a London-based, story-driven Cinematographer working in narrative, drama, documentary and advertising. He first picked up a video camera in 2007 and since then has been wondering the world in a pursuit to commit to permanence moments that move him.
Growing up in the cultural tapestry that is the shore of the Black Sea, Andrei was inspired to seek out an eclectic array of artistic movements, being equally fond of the works of Andrei Tarkovsky, Lucian Pintilie and Sergei Parajanov on one hand, and Terry Gilliam, Ridley Scott and Mike Leigh on the other.
He studied at the National Film and Theatre University of Bucharest where he graduated with 1st Class Honours. His graduation film was screened at the Cannes Short Film Corner.

Sheila Curran Bernard is an Emmy and Peabody Award-winning filmmaker whose credits include Slavery by Another Name (2012, writer); I'll Make Me a World (1999, series writer); and Eyes on the Prize II (1990, producer/director/writer). She is also the author of Documentary Storytelling: Creative Nonfiction on Screen (Focal Press, 5th edition 2022), and co-author with Kenn Rabin of Archival Storytelling: Finding, Using, and Licensing Third-Party Visuals and Music (Focal Press, 2nd edition 2020).- John Ruane is an accomplished actor and writer from Chicago, now living in the Atlanta area. After graduating from Chicago State University as an English major and two-sport athlete (hockey and baseball), John began his career as a feature writer for the Chicago Sun-Times. Following an interview with a Second City actress, she encouraged him to attend the famed theater's workshops to develop his satirical writing for the stage. After two years of training in improvisation, acting and writing, John wrote and performed in four sketch comedy revues with The Chi-Town Players. Several of his comedic roles in those critically-acclaimed shows were highlighted by the Chicago Tribune and Sun-Times. A critic from the Chicago Reader called him, "A cross between Jackie Gleason and the Belushi brothers." Luke Benjamin Bernard is an American actor, writer, and producer born in Texas and residing in Tampa, Florida. He did not begin acting until his junior year of high school primarily because he was home schooled due to his family being missionaries to Nigeria, Africa.
Luke went to University of Central Florida in pursuit of a Musical Theatre degree. He was casted as Tony in West Side Story, his first year at UCF. He grew in acting, receiving several lead roles during his college days.
After graduating in 2012, Luke moved to Los Angeles to pursue acting. He found an acting coach, Max Decker, who was someone that Luke believed could develop him more as an actor. Luke became SAG eligible after being in a few SAG web series. He attended three nights a week at CM Studios and was cast as the lead in the web series Bike Cops. Unfortunately, the weekend before they started shooting, Luke was in a near fatal car accident which changed his life.
Luke suffered traumatic brain injury, two broken vertebrae, 2 blood clots on the outside of his brain, and a removal of a portion of his skull to allow his brain to swell. Through his family and thousands of prayers, God healed him. After a dream, Luke, in one month, wrote a full length feature film script that is inspired by his accident. This is amazing since six months before he was in rehabilitation relearning how to write his name. Through this accident, Luke has had an epiphany about life, people, and God. He will show his epiphany through this movie which has been transposed into a book and will be published July 2015, both called The Favorite.- Actor

Constant Bernard is an ACTRA Award nominated actor, Dora Award nominated actor and director as well as a singer based out of Toronto.

Eddie Bernard was raised on the Lower East Side of New York City. During High school, Eddie fell in love with the performing arts and attended the Penny Templeton School of Acting. Elizabeth "Liz" Bernard is an experienced Senior Animation Supervisor with more than 20 feature film, episodic and short film credits to her name. Some of her most recent projects include Twentieth Century Studios' "Free Guy," Paramount Pictures "Terminator: Dark Fate," and Marvel Studios' "Captain Marvel."
Liz has a particular passion for bringing animals, creatures, and characters to life and forging an emotional connection to the audience. She recently wrapped as the Senior Animation Supervisor on Marvel Studios' highly-anticipated series "She-Hulk" and has led animation on several blockbuster films, including Marvel Studios' "Thor: Ragnarok," "Spider-Man: Homecoming," Disney's "Beauty and the Beast" and "Maleficent," among others.
After joining Digital Domain's team as an animator in 2011, Liz rose to Lead Animator and then Animation Supervisor very quickly. The youngest of two children, he was born in Victoria, and was raised in Campbell River, BC. From a young age Michael was drawn to theatre and his Mother helped him take his first steps into that world by encouraging him to audition for Missoula Children's Theatre, where he landed the role of Buck, the Comical Deer in The Jungle Book. Michael continued to pursue theatre acting in various community and high school performances such as; Oliver (Oliver), The Complete Works of William Shakespeare Abridged (Jess), Honk! In 2017 Michael was invited back to Douglas College to perform as an Alumni cast member. He played the role of Just Joey in the award-winning Canadian play Concord Floral.

Bernard was born in London in the late 1960's but his formative years were spent growing up in Yorkshire. During his life he has had a varied career from stacking shelves at a local supermarket at the age of 13, the youngest member of the management team for Comet (the electrical retail group) ever at 17, the Police force in both West Yorkshire & Lancashire, a pioneer in the early stages of the internet/modern telecoms/web marketing, development of a children's animation and book, board game creator and App developer. Throughout his life Bernard has also had a range of other jobs and launched a number of businesses some with great success others not so.
At 28 Bernard married into a family with 10 children two of whom are autistic and with his then wife had a further 4 children, unfortunately after 19 years they went their separate ways.
After 20 years of living in Northern Ireland including 8 in France & Spain, Bernard is now resident in the North East of England where he has embarked on the next stage of his life.

After meeting such people on set as Danny Moder (cinematographer The Mexican) and his then wife, Julia Roberts, he was intrigued as to who else he might meet and accepted a larger role with more speaking parts. Francesca left Texas and became a top Powers Model, appearing for such accounts as Chesterfield, Beech-Nut, Cream of Wheat, I. J. Fox, Krogers and other major companies. She was chosen as the Chesterfiled Girl of the Month in 1940 from a large number of talented models who sought this important honor. In February 1943, Francesca was featured on the cover of Look Magazine in a pictorial tribute to our wartime ally, Great Britian.

Dr. Pedro da Silva is a co-founder of Light & Sound Film Scoring along with pianist and composer Lucía Caruso. Collectively, the two have recorded for many films including: two scores for Oscar-winning director Michel Gondry ("Be Kind Rewind," "Interior Design" from the "Tokyo" triptych), as well as recording with acclaimed film composer Jean-Michel Bernard ("The Science of Sleep," "Human Nature"). Together they have scored nine films, including Richard Témtchine's "How to Seduce Difficult Women," and two new scores for silent masterpieces by Georges Méliès for full orchestra and choir. Da Silva also composed for the prize-winning documentary "Tijuana nada más..." (2009) by Yolanda Pividal and Carmen Vidal, the winner of a student Oscar. Caruso and da Silva are the founders and directors of the Manhattan Camerata, an innovative chamber orchestra that records and performs many of their film scores, along with their other compositions and arrangements. The ensemble most recently won Best Instrumental Performance at the prestigious 2017 International Portuguese Music Awards.
At Carnegie Hall, da Silva has had three performances to date in both the Isaac Stern Auditorium and Weill Hall: as a soloist, as part of an ensemble, and as a composer. John Dante Schilleci, Jr. was a New Orleans lawyer who was also a well known local New Orleans amateur actor.
He was born in New Orleans in 1914. He was the son of Gioachino Schilleci and Antonina Graffagnini. His father and mother were both born in New Orleans of parents who emigrated from Contessa Entelina, Sicily. Gioachino was an accomplished amateur actor in New Orleans who is noted as the founder of the iconic Central Grocery in the New Orleans French Quarter.
When the film Panic In The Streets was shot in New Orleans, John the role John portrayed as a coroner was well received and generated another film acting offer.
However, his acting career tragically ended when suffered a disabling stroke shortly after completing the film.
He suffered a fatal stroke on January 2, 1956 at the age of 41.- Born in Portland Oregon, Charles Bernard began his career in entertainment at an early age. In California he pursued his calling in theater at the age of 19. He later would move to Chicago to work in radio. In 1940, while working as an entertainer at a dude ranch, he met Eleanor Rose Fehr and they were married two years later.
Charles Bernard served as a US Navy radioman from 1943 to 1945 he would serve again in the Korean war. After being honorably discharged he would pick up his work again in radio working locally at radio stations in his home of Portland, Oregon. But Charles's true passion was acting and he went to work in locally produced Hollywood films and commercials. An intelligent and kind man, Charles Bernard passed January 21, 2012. He was a devout husband, compassionate father, and a highly praised actor. - Barney McCoy teaches multimedia, broadcast news, journalism and depth reporting courses at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. Before arriving at UNL in 2006, McCoy was a full-time journalist. A veteran journalist, McCoy has won numerous television, radio, and multimedia news awards from the Broadcast Education Association and Midwest Broadcast Journalists Association. His television documentary "Black Jack Pershing: Love and War" was a 2018 recipient of a national Sigma Delta Chi Award from the Society of Professional Journalists, an Award of Excellence from the Broadcast Education Association, and an Eric Sevareid Award from the Midwest Broadcast Journalists Association. Another McCoy documentary, "They Could Really Play the Game: Reloaded," was a 2015 Canada International Film Festival Award winner. McCoy has been honored with six Emmy awards and numerous other citations for journalistic excellence. McCoy has co-authored a book chapter on mixed methods research in documentary filmmaking. He authored journal articles involving his multi-phased national research on digital distractions in the classroom and another research project on professional and scholarly expectations for Journalism graduates in the workplace. McCoy holds a master's degree in telecommunications management from Michigan State University. He holds a bachelor's degree in journalism from the University of Kansas. He has taught multimedia reporting courses at the Kosovo Institute of Journalism and Mass Communication in Pristina, Kosovo and has produced and advised on five award-winning documentaries at UNL. McCoy has worked as a documentary director and producer, television and print news reporter, photographer, news producer, and anchor.
