Last night at the latest Jonas Brothers concert, Joe Jonas introduced an emotional song by reaching out to fellow parents in the audience.

The Jonas Brothers took the stage Thursday at Philadelphia’s Wells Fargo Center. As the band geared up to perform “Little Bird”—a touching ballad that each brother dedicated to his own kids—Jonas first gave a shout-out to parents who might relate to the song.

“This next one is all about being a parent,” he said, per video footage published by People. “We have any parents in the house? If you play a role in someone’s life, shout-out to you, too. Or, if you’re trying to [have kids], best of luck.”

People notes that Nick and Kevin Jonas had also hugged their brother right before the trio performed their first song of the night, “Celebrate.”

Joe’s shout-out to parents came just hours after actor Sophie Turner, with whom he is embroiled in divorce proceedings, filed a lawsuit over the “wrongful retention” of their two kids: three-year-old daughter Willa and a one-year-old daughter referred to as D. in court documents.

The lawsuit alleges that Jonas “has possession of the children’s passports” and that “he refuses to return the passports to the Mother and refuses to send the children home to England with the Mother.”

Jonas’s rep later said in a statement that during a meeting in New York City this past Sunday, Turner had “advised that she wanted to take the children permanently to the U.K. Thereafter, she demanded via this filing that Joe hand over the children’s passports so that she could take them out of the country immediately. If he complies, Joe will be in violation of the Florida Court order [that restricts both parents from relocating the children].”

The couple confirmed the end to their four-year marriage via a joint statement shared to social media on September 6.

“After four wonderful years of marriage we have mutually decided to amicably end our marriage,” the message read. “There are many speculative narratives as to why but, truly this is a united decision and we sincerely hope that everyone can respect our wishes for privacy for us and our children.”
