I’m not sure if I read the same book as everyone else, but I only finished it because there’s triplets and I love that in books. I don’t understand the 5 stars...
The blurb was somewhat misleading claiming the dad was powerful enough to destroy the H and h. Umm 🤔 like how? He was a good guy and forgave them real quick for going behind his back. There were some plot holes that we never got answers for. I found myself skimming for the most part.
Also, one of my pet peeves with secret baby books is when the Hero finds out towards the end of the book that the heroine lied to him about the babies being his. I’m talking last 6 minutes of the book! He forgave her too quickly in my opinion. Not enough groveling from the heroine. He wasn’t even mad for a few hours.
Alas, I hope my next read is better.

Care fenici, questo romanzo mi ha subito colpito per la sinossi e, pur non conoscendo l’autrice, ho cominciato la lettura con molto entusiasmo.
La differenza di età fra i protagonisti, la gravidanza inaspettata di ben tre pargoletti, il fatto che il personaggio maschile sia addirittura un coetaneo e amico intimo del padre di lei, sono delle particolarità che mi hanno intrigato particolarmente.
L’ambientazione contemporanea ci porta in un piccolo nucleo familiare, formato da padre e figlia molto uniti che si danno reciproca forza e conforto ormai da anni dopo la perdita della figura materna.
In questo quadretto familiare è onnipresente il fidato amico del papà, un ginecologo di quarantadue anni, di cui Rose è da sempre innamorata.
Il sentimento però è reciproco e mentre lui si sente un pervertito e scaccia come può questi pensieri, soprattutto perché non vuole tradire la fiducia dell’amico, lei tornata dal college comincia a escogitare un modo per perdere la verginità a lungo custodita, proprio con lui.
Non avrebbe mai saputo che ero io, e questo faceva male, ma… lo volevo così tanto. Averlo solo per una notte nel mistero era meglio che non averlo affatto.

L’inizio è promettente, questa attrazione sopita da anni, un ballo in maschera dove ognuno può essere chi vuole senza inibizioni, la spregiudicatezza dettata dalla giovinezza e dalla lussuria.
Alla luce del giorno, quando cadono le maschere incombe però il senso di colpa e le conseguenze sono un fardello di cui farsene carico.
La lettura è stata lenta, con una narrazione a tratti ripetitiva e uno svolgimento poco intrigante.
La storia, seppur con un’idea interessante, si perde nel perbenismo dei protagonisti, avrei gradito più enfasi ed emozione nell’esternazione dei loro stati d’animo.
Rose, dopo un inizio esplosivo, cambia rotta completamente, la santarellina rimasta incinta per opera dello Spirito Santo, non sa che pesci prendere, o meglio, lo sapeva benissimo ma adesso è basita e pentita. Jack è un uomo divorziato e del precedente matrimonio ha un brutto ricordo dovuto all’esperienza che gli ha lasciato il segno. Per questo è restio a rifarsi una vita e raramente si lascia andare a delle avventure. Anche se quella notte è rimasto sconcertato dalla misteriosa ragazza che gli ricordava tanto Rose!
L’attrazione per la ragazza è autentica, ma ignaro di essere andato a letto proprio con lei, deve reprimere questo sentimento per rispetto dell’amico e perché è conscio che alla sua età potrebbe essere suo padre.
Tutto la trama è un rimorso gigantesco e nel frattempo il fattaccio è già stato fatto, lui si ritrova ad aiutare Rose sia nel parto che nella gestione dei tre figli, perché alla fine anche se non sa di essere il padre, vuole esserci per lei e i suoi figli.
Tutto sommato è stata una lettura piacevole con il rammarico che poteva essere più stimolante visti i presupposti.

What a wonderful heartwarming story!! Love trying out new authors! Sofia T Summers, Doctor Daddy, had a climactic feel that rose with a crescendo and exploded! Rose and Jake were explosive! Awesome book!

Rose is infatuated with, Jake her father's best friend. She always did look up, to him, but, when her mother dies, leaving her, to all of a sudden, become the parent to her father, Richard. This is overwhelming, at a time when she is, to be looking toward, heading off to college, it is more than she can handle, alone. She feels lucky to have, Dr. Jake to help. Working closely with him, makes her crush grow larger, but she knew, he only saw her, and always would only see her as, Richard’s daughter. When she left for college, she looked like your typical high schooler. She carefully, over the five years, made sure to avoided, Jake on purpose. It was to hard on her, plus she knew, she had developed into, a BBW.( Big Beautiful Woman ) Rose owns her body, not always did everyone else.
So, when she is home to stay, and Jake catches sight of her, he feels guilty because of the unpure thoughts he is having, about Richard’s daughter. From that moment on, he cannot get, Rose out of his mind. Rose hears a conversation, about him not wanting a family or commitment. She, of course, doesn't hear it all, or in its context. When she formulates, a way to seduce him. That's the beginning, of the craziest of this story.
Not my observations: Jake was a douche most of the book as far as leading this already confused girl on. He’s a doctor for goodness sake he knows about hormones and he’s leading this girl on and then when he's the one that crosses the line wants her to be the grown-up. Really? Obtuse is all kept saying. But Jake, did redeem himself, barely, he was sexy, helping and loving the kids, and he did love Rose, but his being, wishy-washy, bothered me. I was glad after each encounter, when Rose protected, her heart because she could feel, his negative vibe. Which of course, as readers we were hearing, his doubts. Then, Jake would feel butt hurt, when you were just thinking about telling her, you shouldn’t be doing this, that she was a one, and oops done again, my bad.
Especially when he allowed his nurse to call him out several once during a social event and twice at the office, during office hours. The icing on the cake with this chick, is when she interferes, with a doctor-patient anything. Now, if she feels either is taking advantage of, one or the other, you go to the one you feel is being wronged, and ask “How can I help.” But, to tell a patient, and a high-risk one at that. Not to be showing up so often, and stop taking so much of the doctor’s time, when he has other patients. If Rose had decided to stop showing up for visits, as often, just on a whim, and something were to happen, she could hurt, Rose, the babies, Jake, and the practice, but most of all, herself. All of them, are in line, of risk. She did far worse than anything she was thinking about, Jake. In my opinion.
So, why did she do it? Are we just to assume she had a crush on both doctors and would ragout when one would with alot woman?

Not so Forbidden Temptation!!!
This wasn't the typical romance between a younger woman, and an older man Jake, her Dad's best friend. They both loved each other and wanted each. However, they didn't want to hurt him by revealing their feelings for each other. She was 22 and he was about 42 which isn't a huge age gap.
However, why would an OB/GYN doctor have unprotected sex with anyone - especially someone he'd only met that night? He continued with the unprotected sex, even after discovering that she was a virgin. Then he walked away without a second thought of being exposed to a STD or an unexpected pregnancy.
How could others see his attraction to her when his best friend couldn't see it? Why would her Dad become so furious when he discovered them having sex. He pushed his friend to take of his daughter? He even acknowledged that Jake was the best man for his daughter. He encouraged Jake to take care of his daughter by becoming her doctor after discovering she was pregnant. Her Dad never questioned her about who was responsible for her pregnancy, especially after they knew she was having triplets.
I loved reading the dual points of view. Yet, I didn't understand why they were never honest with each other. How could Jake not realize that Rose was the virgin he had sex with, especially after having sex with her a second time, even realizing how foolish he was to have unprotected sex? How could they explore their sexual attraction at times when anyone could catch them? Why did they continue having unprotected sex?
The vulgar words used during sex was a turnoff as was taking the Lord's name in vain. Why was his nurse so overprotective of Jake, even guarding him against other women outside of the office? She knew Jake had inappropriate feelings for Rose and Rose for him, without thinking he was the children's father. Why did she think it was wrong of Rose to see Jake at the office every week - she was almost ready to give birth and was pregnant with triplets. It wasn't unusual for a woman would see her doctor weekly under those conditions.

3.5 ⭐️for me.
Book was written in dual POV.
Hero was a rich doctor who started to fall in love with the daughter of his best friend. Both men in their early 40’s. Heroine was 21, a little immature but that was ok for her age. She disguises at a charity ball, sleep with the guy, looses her virginity and gets pregnant with triples. Doesn’t tell the guy is his kids until almost the end of the book.
What I liked of the book: I didn’t notice grammatical errors, nice vocabulary. Interesting plot, kept me entertained. Fast paced book, character development good. Didn’t feel like insta love as she was in love with guy since younger and he also for many months.
What I didn’t like of the book: author didn’t do proper research of how a pregnancy with triplets is not so easy. She writes the heroine as she endured 9 month of pregnancy as it is well known triplets are born many weeks earlier than a singleton pregnancy. Also she has the heroine having sex pretty much a couple months after birth and supposedly her body was beautiful and back in shape. Ehhh nope! First she needs to recover, second her belly will be super stretch out with skin hanging, she had triplets not 1 kid.
There were other stuff that didn’t make sense. But I let it pass and it is fiction and not a memoir or non-fic romance book. Let’s say in that world triples go through 9 months and women bounced back into perfect bodies after giving birth (which I had that luck) 😉.
Also the blurb said the father was powerful and could destroy the hero….. no! Father was a kitten, hardly stayed upset, forgave them easily. Same with the hero forgave heroine for lying and tricking him and end up asking for forgiveness instead of heroine.🤷🏻♀️
The smut was really good. 🌶🌶🌶🌶
Would I recommend the book? Yes it is an easy read, entertaining, good hero, nice story (if you overlook the pregnancy stages inaccuracies) and if you like an age gap with an HEA.🙂

I received this book with the understanding that I could leave a voluntary and honest review.
In this book we meet Rose Parker and Jake Dresden. Both Rose and Jake have been attracted to the other for years now. Their is just one problem Richard, Rose's father and Jake's best friend. Both know being together will devastate him and possibly ruin each of their relationships with him. When Jake asks Richard if he is going to the masked charity ball he tells him he is going to be out of town at a conference he can't miss. Rose knows this is her one chance to be with Jake without either of the men feeling like she betrayed them. Everything goes just the way she hopes with one little exemption she ends up pregnant. Her only thought is to get away before she ruins everything. Jake knows he can't have the one woman he wants more than anything, no matter how much he might wish it. So when he finds a woman at the charity ball that reminds him of Rose without him having Rose he goes for it. He wishes he could have the real thing but knows this one time will be all he will get. When Rose moves away unexpectly he goes with her father to make sure everything is ok. What he doesn't expect to find is a pregnant Rose. He also didn't plan on becoming her OB. Can these two find a HEA or will the secrets they are both keeping make that impossible?
Another amazing story by this author. This story will suck you in and not let go till the very end. I would highly recommend it to anyone and everyone.

Watched & Went thru the pregnancy as well as deliver his own flesh & Blood.

Can they get through the Biggest hurdle of not hurting her father and Jake's best friend? Can Rose get her happily ever after and Jake have his friendship Intact? Fun and steamy read with some angst. Rose and Jake each have secretly desired each other, but he is her dad’s best friend and 20+ years older. A sexy leopard costume at a masquerade charity event gives Rose the confidence to seduce Jake and he can’t resist. She intends it to be only one night and hopes she can move on from him.
The seduction is successful and they have a very steamy hook up, but Rose feels guilty for seducing her dad’s best friend. When she ends up pregnant she avoid the potential emotional drama and moves 3 hours away without telling her dad or Jake why.

Spicy with a side of sweet!!
I don’t know what I was expecting from this book but it doesn’t even matter because I didn’t want it to end! Kind of makes me regret having it sit in my library for months now and passing it over for other books. I’ve been disappointed many a time with Dad’s Best Friend books which are my favorite so I read the premise and figured I would still give it a chance. I read some and got this book as a recommendation but I needed a break. Some of the books were mediocre and I didn’t want to go into this one and be disappointed as well. I started it this morning and finished it within a few hours.
This book was soooo delicious and Daddy Jake had me in a puddle from beginning to end. I know that men love a lady in the streets but a freak in the sheets but phew if Jake isn’t the male personification of that phrase! The sexy time scenes blew me away time and time again and if you were teetering on whether or not you should read this book, read it for those scenes alone because I promise you it’s worth it!

Well this book wasn't bad but it wasn't AMAZING either! Spoilers ahead!!! Rose is a 21 year graduated college student who moved back home to work with her father and who was been secretly in love with her father's 42 year old best friend Jake who is an OBGYN. Seeing as how Rose's father would never approve of Rose having a romantic relationship with Jake she conducts a plan to seduce him at a costume charity ball and have a one night stand with him. Although Rose's plan works and she and Jake have an amazing night together Jake left her with a gift she'll never forget. Rose soon discovers that she's pregnant and without warning moves to a new city so no one she cares about finds out she's expecting. In the end though her loved ones find out and she moves back home and Jake becomes her OBGYN not knowing the babies (That's right I said babies 3) are his. Time pases, Jake delivers Rose's babies, she names one of them after him, they become close, they sleep together again, then they get caught together by her father, Rose and Jake's relationship is in the open, then tum... tum... tum... Jake finds out the whole truth about who the mystery woman at the costume ball was and that those babies are in fact his. Of course, Jake is upset, angry, hurt, and betrayed. He leaves, goes home, thinks things through, and comes back to Rose to forgive her and they end up together. My rating for this book was 3.5 stars!!

DOCTOR DADDY was a steamy read that sometimes took me out of my comfort zone. This is Jake and Rose's story and it was hot from the first page to the last. The story is told in alternating chapters by Jake and Rose. He's much older than her and there's an attraction on both sides but neither is aware of the other's feelings. He's her father's best friend and is always worried that Richard will feel betrayed if he acts on his feelings or once he does he feels he'll be cut out of his life.
Communication is an issue between Jake and Rose. I liked Rose's support system but her boss who seemed to always be following her was nothing short of creepy. There are twists and turns to the story with lots of tears, fears, anger, lies, secrets, hot between the sheets moments, lots of loving and love. The triplets were a nice addition to the story and I liked both Rose and Jake's interactions with them. There is nice closure with the epilogue along with the happily ever after that's always required in a romance.
Ms. Summers is an author whose books I've enjoyed. I look forward to reading more of her books.

Will Jake abandon her, take the babies? What will her father do? She is scared but also exhilarated Jake is paying so much attention to her and the babies…but it could all dissolve when the truth is known.

Mixed bag
I wanted to like this more- the concept was interesting and there were definitely some scenes that pulled at the emotions because of how raw the characters were portrayed. But I don’t think the explicit scenes were needed. The fade-to-black method would have elevated this story immensely. Then there was the constant use of the f-word. That was highly unnecessary and took away from the feel of the rest of the story. On top of that, there was a great deal of repetitive dialogue and thoughts of the characters that had me feeling frustrated. I wanted to shake them and say, “I know! We’ve been over this!” Because a lot of what was repeated wasn’t even rephrased. We see a character thinking something, then saying it verbatim in a later chapter. In its current state, I would not recommend this book, and I wouldn’t want my children to read it.
Note to the author: I know that writing a full story isn’t easy. Sharing your creation with the world takes a lot of effort and guts that too few people have or want to give. Keep sharing your worlds, but please take time to refine your work until it shines. You’ve got this.

I enjoyed reading Doctor Daddy by Sofia T Summers because it was a forbidden romance between Jake and Rose. Jake was Rose's dad's best friend and was 20 years older than her. Rose was in love with Jake and had been for a while. She devised a plan to get with him without knowing it was her. It was going to be a charity ball and it was only going to be for one night. But she ended up pregnant. Things got so complicated for her after that. She kept lying both to her dad and Jake. Eventually the truth came out and feelings were hurt. What happened when her dad found out? What happened when Jake found out? So many questions. But both Jake and Rose kept fighting the feelings between them. They both loved each other but who would get hurt in the end? I loved the suspense and the forbidden romance. I would highly recommend reading this story. There are so many twists and turns and it will keep you on the edge of your seat wondering what was going to happen next.

She's afraid of what will happen if she comes clean to both Jake and her father about what she did so Rose takes a job in another town. So she can hide the pregnancy until she can figure out what to say about the baby. However her father decides to surprise her for the holidays with a meal and Jake notices her baby bump. What will she do? Will Jake forgive her for keeping quiet? Can they have a future together?
This is a great story once I started it I couldn't put it down. This is a well written and very entertaining story. I would recommend this book to any book lover.

They say one taste, forever around the hips. In this case it was one illicit encounter with her all-time crush resulted in triplets. Rose has always had a crush on Jake. She knew her father would never forgive her. She didn't know Jake harbored the same feelings. After he finds out she is pregnant, he is jealous because he doesn't know those are his babies. Jake helps her through her pregnancy and they continue to hide their feelings. After the babies arrive Jake continues to help. Throughout this story Jake and Rose inch closer and closer to revealing their true feelings. Rose is hiding so much from Jake. They will have to work through Jealousy, betrayal and determine if true love is in the cards for them. This was a great read. Rose doesn't care about the age gap and they have a lot to work through to get to a HEA.

Throughout the story, it was brought up several times how hurt and betrayed Rose's father would be about everything. While he did discover Rose and Jake's relationship, you never got to read about how he found out Jake was the father of the triplets. I had some issues with this story. The story itself was well written, no major errors or anything that I could notice, and trust me, my OCD would notice major errors. My issue was with our would be heroine, and I use the term very lightly. When first introduced to her, she is likeable and we can't help but feel for her. She's very young, she's 21 and just out of college and she's crushing on her father's best friend. Unbeknown to her, he also has feelings for her. This sets us up for a very sweet story with guaranteed drama when dad finds out. Because you know dad will find out on his own before they figure out how to tell him about their relationship, otherwise there wouldn't be any drama.
My problem with the Rose was how she justified not telling Jake the truth, even as she allowed him to become attached to her children and practically help her raise them. That shows a level of immaturity that makes a real lasting relationship between the two very unlikely. Not to mention, how can either of them justify unprotected sex? He's a doctor for pete's sake.
That being said, it was a well written story and I enjoyed reading it.

This was honestly really painful to read. There were a lot of fluff parts that were so repetitive. They continue to have unprotected sex even though they didn’t check for STDs and she is definitely not on birth control. I was honestly surprised when she wasn’t pregnant again by the end of the book because of all the unprotected sex.
It was very clear that the author didn’t research pregnancy with triplets because she was able to go through it so easily and carried to term and her body was beautiful and back in shape almost immediately.
There were also things I just didn’t make sense when it came to caring for the babies. Like they woke them up from a nap to give them a bath and then put them right back to bed. Like I get that that makes sense for the plot but that’s not how you handle babies.
The smut was okay but there was sooooo much fluff that made it so boring. I was so excited about the age gap because I love age gaps but this one didn’t hit the spot for me.
