Now that Kellan Lutz's Twilight days are nearly over, the actor has said an Oscar is on the horizon for him.
"I want to act for the rest of my life," the 27-year-old said in a magazine interview. "I'll win an Oscar one day, but I'm in no rush to get there. I don't care if that takes me 50 years, and I'm old. I just love what I do."
Speaking about the Twilight films coming to an end, Kellan said: "It really is bittersweet. It's very much like high school...and I'm ready to graduate.
"This is such a special moment in my life. I really just want to experience it with the people who mean the most to me."
Lutz, who plays Cullen family member Emmett in The Twilight Saga, also revealed that he has a passion for science. If his acting career dries up post-Twilight, he plans to pursue a career in chemical engineering.
The actor apparently has two patent-pending inventions in the works. "It's great because acting has given me the resources and platform to help charities but also the money to create my inventions and pay for the patent process," he said. "Attorneys aren't cheap."
