There are very few celebrity style moments that can get a group of editors online and buzzing before 9 AM on a Monday, but the ones that get us out of bed and onto Slack are typically major moments. Era-defining, Met Gala-worthy, big fit moments. Or, just a really, really interesting Chris Pine look—I'm talking pink huaraches, black tights with athletic shorts atop them, a PBS tee, and a rainbow-striped shawl collar cardigan.

It's a lot to process, so let's dissect this outfit. From (scruffy) head to (pink-clad) toe, it's giving Recently Divorced, Big Little Lies-esque Wine Aunt Goes to the Farmer's Market, Forgets Purse. But not in a bad way! There's a charming eclecticism to Pine's unshavenness, his seasonally-appropriate, cozy, cashmere, rainbow-striped cardigan from The Elder Statesman. And who doesn't love vintage—especially when it's PBS? The low neckline is hinting at a tank top, which brings to mind athletic wear, which flows beautifully into Pine's athletic shorts and leggings combo, which is then offset by pink woven huaraches (maybe the same beloved pair from Don't Worry Darling's press tour? Is Harry Styles' dried up spit still on them?). I think I see what Pine was trying to do—the sandwich method, with matching vibes as a top and on your feet, and something random thrown in the middle—and I am obsessed with the outcome.

Who amongst us hasn't experienced the euphoria of getting a coffee in the most random assortment of clothes your closet can provide? Personally, I'm totally here for the just-rolled-out-of-bed vibe. The recently-divorced-stressed-out-mom cardigan paired with the I'm-an-A-list-actor shoes. Two thousand dollar cardigan aside, this is an approachable outfit. It's not a Cannes linen suit or a designer tux. It's you calling Chris Pine from the driveway, asking him to help you bring in the groceries, and this is what he shuffles out of the house in. It's laundry day and a hungover bagel run look rolled into one. It's seasonally, if not stylistically, appropriate. And I hope to god that everyone has a Chris Pine-inspired look this fall—let's drop the pretenses of what's cool and trendy and just admit it's what we all need.
