    Don't waist your time, get the exact model you are replacing on AT&T

    This DSL modem was not what I needed to replace my existing DSL modem. Found out on AT&T that the modem is VDSL and not ADSL2. Did not work for me. I have read that AT&T makes you get a different modem/router for different services that they provide on Uverse. It is not a one size fits all for their service. I know this because I have tried many different modems now that are branded AT&T. Shame on AT&T for this!! It all depends on where you live and the speed of internet you wish to have according to what I have read.

    Problems setting up

    I was trying to replace my existing wired DSL gateway with this Wireless 2wire DSL router. I had hoped to just unplug my existing wired model with and plug the 2wire wireless router/model. My DSL connection does not require a username and password with ATT. I connect up via DHCP with ATT. To my surpirse, plugging in the 2Wire did not work. I think I need a CD to get the 2wire working. Of course the seller did not provide the CD. I am trying to locate a CD.

    okay, make sure you get a proper A/C adapter

    I didn't have the correct a/c adapter for this router to work, so I returned it. Don't know much about its capability therefore...Make sure you get a CORRECT voltage a/c adapter, or it won't work for you. that was my problem.

    2Wire Router

    I had one just like it that came from AT&T , I had it for almost 6 years with no problem untill it quit all at once, hope this one works half as well , I will be pleased , I have 2 desk top puters hook up to it and use my wireless laptop with it , a good router
