It was recently revealed that everyone's been pronouncing both Chrissy Teigen and Ariana Grande's names incorrectly, and frankly I'm in no emotional state to handle another one of my icons casually revealing that we've been doing them wrong for decades.
Which brings us to J.K. Rowling, who thankfully made sure this would never happen with beloved Harry Potter character Hermione. The author just hopped on Twitter to respond to a fan theory about the correct way to pronounce Hermione's name—confirming that she included a passage in Goblet of Fire just to troll people doing it wrong. Here's the theory:

The good news? People who pronounce Hermione like they do in the films (aka Her-My-O-Nee) are correct. What's NOT correct is pulling a Viktor Krum and pronouncing it Hermy-Own. Got it? Cool. Also side note: please write more Harry Potter books, J.K. Rowling, TYSM.
