Soaring to 2,716 feet, the Burj Khalifa is currently the tallest building in the world. If you look at it from the ground it resembles a rocket about to shoot off into the sky (especially when lightening hits its tip), but it’s also designed to look like a desert flower when seen from above. To get a sense of how much work went into creating this striking building, book a ticket for the world’s highest viewing platform, At the Top, now on the 148th, 125th, and 124th floors (accessible from the Dubai Mall, via a 60-second elevator ride, complete with special light show). Take your time reading the informative boards at the mini-museum on the way up.
