Guns N’ Roses’ classic lineup is reuniting for a bunch of concerts this year; will they have new music to accompany their tour?
Sources close to the band think so. In a recent interview with Ultimate Classic Rock, Slash’s former publicist Arlett Vereecke says the guitarist has been logging studio time, working on new Guns N’ Roses music.
Additionally, former GNR manager Alan Niven told the magazine that Duff McKagan and guitarist Izzy Stradlin got down “at least a couple of tracks” during studio time last December.
“I know they’re doing some recording,” Vereecke said. “They’re definitely doing something there in the studio. Axl hasn’t been there, but Slash is definitely in there and it’s not for anyone else.”

When Billboard first reported the Guns N’ Roses reunion dates back in Jan. 2015, only Rose, Slash and McKagan were confirmed to perform. However, these new rumors support previous rumors of Stradlin’s involvement as well.

Guns N’ Roses Eyeing $3 Million Per Show Payday on Potential Tour
Guns N’ Roses hasn’t released any new music since 2008’s Chinese Democracy, and Rose was the only member from this reunited “classic” lineup featured on it. Slash and Axl have mended their relationship enough to return to the stage together; have they progressed towards new music, too? For now, we’ll have to wait and see.
Billboard has reached out to a representative for Slash for further comment.
