The “Amor Prohibido” music video from Selena Y Los Dinos is one of the most iconic videos for the late Latin music icon and Selena: The Series recreated the visual for a Season 2 episode of the Netflix show.
“Amor Prohibido” was the most successful Latin single of 1994 and the title-track for the first Tejano album to peak at number one on the Billboard Top Latin Albums chart. The song showcases the “Queen of Cumbia” at the top of her game and her most high-profile music video to date.
A behind the scenes video features comments of Hiromi Kamata, the director, to those of Rodrigo Basurto, the choreographer. Go from the wardrobe anecdotes, to the props, or how the incomparable setting of Joshua Tree National Park, in California, was recreated in Valle de Guadalupe, Mexico.
The second season of Selena: The Series arrives May 4 on Netflix.
