Stretch Armstrong so far has been release in four toy line incarnations during the past  40+ years since it first was released in 1976. The following checklist showcases the gurus per year of release and showcases the characters released (and not released) for each line. Variants of the same character are not listed.

1st Series 

This first series was released by Kenner in 1976 and started a toy franchise that now spans over 4 decades of this character’s birth. The toys in the line are of the most valued figures in the toy market over all.

2nd Series

Almost 20 years since Stretch Armstrong graced the shelves of toy stores around the globe, Cap toys got the rights to produce new toys. The figures were a complete redesign of the Stretch Armstrong character and ditched all previous enemies an companions in favor of new ones. The line included not only a much controversial redesign of te title character but introduced him in a smaller 7 inch size, and along this decision it gave Stretch a much broader repertoire of accessories than his predecessor.

3rd Series

Over 24 years After Cap Toys released wide-smiling stretch Armstrong, Hasbro decided to go back to the basics… sort of, and re released a new version of the now dubbed Original Stretch Armstrong  figures. That is without completely ignoring the legacy of 90’s Stretch venture. In what is sometimes a weird amalgamation fo design, this line sports near identical molds of the original figures while ditching the fabric clothing of the figures altogether.

4th Series

After decades of developing hell, Hasbro’s attempt to get Stretch Armstrong to the big screen finally materialized in the shape of the Animated series produced by Netflix. Released only a year after the Original Stretch Armstrong Line, toys based on the animated series which finally gave Stretch Armstrong some sort of context and world to live one were released. So far the line includes some elastic stretch figures and some rigid ones. So far it seems only one classic Stretch figure based on the series has been announced…
