True Detective has a few more detectives on the case.

It had long been rumored that Rachel McAdams and Taylor Kitsch would be added to the cast, but now HBO has confirmed the actors will join Colin Farrell and McAdams’s Wedding Crashers costar Vince Vaughn in the critically acclaimed drama.

According to HBO, the second season of the hit anthology series – which previously starred Matthew McConaughey and Woody Harrelson – will center on “three police officers” (McAdams, Kitsch and Farrell) and “a career criminal” (Vaughn) who “must navigate a web of conspiracy in the aftermath of a murder.”

Kelly Reilly will play the wife of Vaughn’s character in the eight-episode season.

The Sherlock Holmes: Game of Shadows actress’s character is being described by HBO as “a former d-list actress who is a full partner in [her husband’s] enterprises and ambitions.”

Production of the season has already begun in California.
