Lindsay Lohan is back on theMean Girls red carpet!

Lohan, 37, made a surprise appearance at the premiere of the new Mean Girls film on Monday night — 20 years after the premiere of the 2004 film in which she starred and the musical is based — marking a full-circle moment for the new mom.

The actress, who played teen Cady Heron in the iconic movie, hit the red carpet at the New York City premiere dressed to impress in a black cut-out Alexandre Vauthier design with an embellished crystal belt, teamed with Giuseppe Zanotti ankle-strap heels and Melis Goral jewelry.

Lohan’s hair was styled in relaxed, side-sept waves (get the full breakdown here) as she also sported pink lipstick and rosy blush.

At the N.Y.C. premiere of the original film 20 years ago, the then 17-year-old star stepped out in a look that was trending huge in the early aughts - a babydoll dress — and she likely had teens running to the mall to recreate her outfit.

Lohan wore a plunging white dress with a ribbon sash paired with white strappy sandals and bright pink lip gloss.

Lohan opted for more color at the 2004 Hollywood premiere of the film as she wore a bold blue dress — also with a tie waist — teamed with with silver strappy heels.

Lohan’s appearance at Monday’s premiere comes months after the actress reunited with her Mean Girls costars Lacey Chabert and Amanda Seyfried to film a Black Friday commercial for Walmart.

Speaking to PEOPLE at the premiere on Monday, Lohan — who became a new mom last year after welcoming 5-month-old son Luai — shared whether or not she thinks she’s a “cool mom.”

"I hope so!" she responded on the carpet.

On the carpet, Lohan took photos with Saturday Night Live creator Lorne Michaels and Tina Fey, who co-wrote the new Mean Girls film. Fey, 53, also wrote and starred in the 2004 film alongside Lohan in her role as teacher Ms. Norbury.

The Mean Girls movie musical follows Angourie Rice as Cady Heron and Sex Lives of College Girls star Renée Rapp, who returns in her Broadway role as Regina George, played originally by Rachel McAdams.

Mean Girls is released in theaters on Jan. 12.
