OAK TREE Specialist Needed. I'm not looking for a tree trimmer, but an actual specialist in native Oak Trees. We have an old magnificent tree, that doesn't look right. It has fewer leaves than usual and the leaves are browning. It just looks off. Any advice appreciated.

Detectives need your help identifying this theft suspect. On March 17th, a theft occurred at the CVS in Agoura Hills. The pictured suspect (male Hispanic, wearing blue scrubs) entered the location, selected numerous deodorant products, placed the items into a reusable Target bag and exited without paying. Total amount of deodorant stolen was $1,196.98. There have been disturbing incidents of vandalism at two cemeteries in our district (Woodlawn and Lincoln). Numerous headstones and bronze markers have been deliberately broken and stolen, resulting in expensive damages and additional pain for grieving loved ones. To help stop this, the Board passed my motions offering a total of $40,000 in rewards to anyone that can provide information leading to the arrest and conviction of those responsible. Since November 2023 there have been approximately 34 copper theft incidents in Pasadena. The losses have resulted in a total of 25,900 feet of stolen wire – the equivalent of 4.9 miles of copper wire – and damage to 280 city lights. The City of Pasadena in partnership with LA County Supervisor Kathryn Barger’s Office are offering a reward of up to $10,000 each as a pool of funds for information leading to an arrests and conviction of anyone stealing or purchasing copper stolen street lights, city stock yards and other public sites. PASADENA, Calif. —Pasadena residents and businesses are reminded that City Hall and most City services will be closed on Thursday, Nov. 23, and Friday, Nov. 24, in observance of the Thanksgiving holiday. Specific closures, exceptions and reminders are noted below. Pasadena Fire and Police Departments will continue to be staffed for all patrol, jail, fire, paramedic and other emergency services. Always call 9-1-1 for life-threatening emergencies. For non-emergencies, call (626) 744-4241. If you "See Something, Say Something." Report suspicious activity to Pasadena Police Department at (626) 744-4241. The police department’s records section will be closed Thursday and Friday, Nov. 23 and 24, and will reopen Monday, Nov. 27. Pasadena residents and businesses with any power emergencies should call the Pasadena Water and Power Department (PWP) at (626) 744-4673. For water-related emergencies, call (626) 744-4138. PWP’s Customer Service Call Center will be closed for the holiday, but customers can access their accounts and make payments through the automated phone system at (626) 744-4005 or online at PWPweb.com. The City's Citizen Service Center (CSC) will be closed Thanksgiving Day and Friday, Nov. 24. Individuals can contact the CSC via the web or by calling (626) 744-7311. Regular trash and recycling collection for Thursday, Thanksgiving Day, will occur on Friday, Nov. 24, and Friday’s collection will occur on Saturday, Nov. 25. The City’s permit and payment centers will also be closed Thursday, Nov. 23, and Friday, Nov. 24. Online permitting services are available 24/7 at CityOfPasadena.net/PermitCenterOnline. Pasadena Transit and Dial-A-Ride buses will not operate on Thursday, Nov. 23, but will resume regular service on Friday, Nov. 24. Pasadena Transit and Dial A Ride will provide free service on Friday November 24 and Saturday November 25 for Black Friday/Shop Local Saturday. All parking meters are free and parking time limits will not be enforced on Thanksgiving Day, but shoppers are advised that all regular meter enforcement will resume Friday, Nov. 24. Violations for overnight parking, red curb/no parking zones, driveway blocks and blocking fire hydrants will continue to be issued on both days. All Pasadena Public Library sites will close at 5 p.m. on Wednesday, November 22, and will remain closed the following two days They will reopen on Saturday, November 25. All recreation and community centers operated by the City’s Parks, Recreation and Community Services Department will be closed on Thursday, Nov. 23, and Friday, Nov. 24, but all parks will be open for picnics, fun and play. No site reservations are accepted for the holiday. Looking to get some holiday shopping done? The City of Pasadena and the Convention & Visitors Bureau have launched the “Authentically Yours, Pasadena” campaign to support Pasadena small businesses and encourage community members to shop and dine local this holiday season. Starting on Small Business Saturday, November 25, shoppers who visit any of the official campaign welcome stations—located at various small and independent businesses across the city—can receive a free canvas shopping tote while supplies last.

Yep Chachi, You can't get away with not wearing a mask in that Vons market.! I will only go to the Ralphs, if I absolutely can't get a particular item anywhere else, like "Simple Truth" ? I believe is the name of the brand, organic rotisserie chicken. They only use salt as a seasoning. Most rotisserie chickens at local markets have a laundry list of seasonings and ingredients I can't even pronounce and they're very salty ! That's the only item i'll go out of the way to buy at Ralphs, the one in La Canada on Foothill across the side street from Trader Joe's.

Los Gringos Locos

Well, I don’t know folks, I think I can best that. Tonight at “Los Gringos Locos”, we had take out. A 12oz. , beautifully cooked thick cut of, prime rib, with a HUGE baked potato, Caesar salad, great Caesar dressing, steamed asparagus, homemade dinner rolls aujus, horseradish sour cream, butter. Even after dinner chocolate candy. I know, I know, a Mexican restaurant, you say ? I’m telling you the owner of Los Gringos, Bent Hanson, really knows his food. and offers not only delicious Mexican food, but he also serves BBQ brisket, BBQ ribs and several other items . These are complete meals with several different sides, and often with dessert. We just ordered one dinner tonight for $35, and we split it, but we couldn’t finish it all. He serves large portions. You should check out the website to see when some of these items are offered, you won’t be sorry !!😋 All his meals are outstanding !!
