Ellen Page is the latest Hollywood actor to leap from movies into video games.
The Juno star is playing the lead role of Jodie Holmes in David Cage's PlayStation 3 game, Beyond: Two Souls.
She was filmed in a skintight suit to fully capture her performance so she is the voice, face and body of the character.
"Everything about it is just different," Page said.
"I had never done motion-capture before, so that alone was all like new and foreign to me.
"And just the idea of no sets, no wardrobe, I mean you just feel completely naked in a way. You know, it's just completely raw and you have to imagine everything."
The 25-year-old Canadian actress, who is known for her roles in Juno, Inception and Woody Allen's To Rome With Love, says shooting scenes for a game ended up being far more work than on a typical movie.
"The game is incredibly emotional and profound and deep and subversive. This girl goes through a heck of a lot," Page said.
"No matter what the emotional magnitude or intensity of the scene is, you're giving multiple responses and may have multiple intention in the scene."
