How to Throw the Perfect Cowboy-Themed Birthday Party

Is your little one’s birthday fast approaching and you’re stuck for ideas? If you’re looking for something a little bit different, why not try a cowboy themed birthday party? We celebrated Callahan’s 2nd Birthday with this cowboy themed party and it was a hit. Keep reading for all the tips and tricks you need to make this party one to remember.

When it comes to decorating for a cowboy themed birthday party, think rustic and country. Start by hanging some cowboy hats and bandanas around the room. You could even string up some lassos if you have them. Use brown paper or burlap fabric to make a tablecloth. Scatter hay bales around the room or yard (if you’re having the party outdoors) and put up a “Wanted” sign featuring a picture of the birthday boy or girl. For extra effect, we always include balloon garland it really elevates any event for minimal cost!

Now for games games, there are plenty of options to choose from for a cowboy themed party. How about setting up an obstacle course with hay bales, hula hoops, and cones? Or playing “pin the tail on the donkey”? Other games could include musical chairs (set up to country music, of course!), a water gun shoot out (use plastic bottles filled with water as targets), or a treasure hunt (hide small toys around the house or yard).

A cowboy themed birthday party is the perfect way to celebrate your little one’s big day! With just a few simple decorations you can throw a party that your child and all their friends will remember for years to come.
