Rafael Tirado & Association, PLC is unorganized, unprofessional, and insensible with their clients' cases. This law firm was hired in 2019 to administer an immigration case and nearly two years later the immigration case has not made it past the first phase process. Hence the delay, has nothing to do with COVID-19, rather the incompetence of the staff to meet deadlines and follow through with USCIS requirements on their client's behalf. Specifically, their paralegal, Hilda Sandoval, who's number one excuse is having too many cases and not enough time, however, this is something that does not pertain to clients, nor should they have to face the consequences for their staff's short comings, as every case should be given equal priority and should be properly administered, per the paid contract. In the last two years, the aforementioned paralegal, has made multiple mistakes, failed to notify this client about deadlines, requirements, and due to the poor handling of the case, nearly had the case dismissed by USCIS due to inactivity. The paralegal has avoided conflict, phone calls, and neglected her obligations by simply hiding behind her office, which is unacceptable. This situation resulted in the expiration of fees already paid in early 2019 with USCIS and the need for this client to pay new application fees, which seem unfair considering the law firm has been paid to administer the case. To administer a case means to manage, supervise, aid, relay information, and perform the duties of an administrator, which in this case, the law firm is the administrator. The improper handling of immigration cases has great consequences such as deportation, financial loss, time away from work, and inevitably emotional damages, which the firm has taken very lightly. The firm unashamedly put all the blame on the client and failed to acknowledge their fault in this uncomfortable and sensitive matter. There seems to be an unclear role description between what is expected from this law firms' staff and what is expected from the clients. Hence, this client has provided all proof, documentation, service payments, and USCIS fees to push this immigration case forward because it is very important, however, the law firm and their staff have not delivered satisfactory performance. Based on the law firm's behavior they have demonstrated their unwillingness to execute in their client's best interest. Therefore, Rafael Tirado & Association, PLC is not recommended to anybody. Do not hire them, unless you have the time, the money, legal residency, and primordially the patience to deal with incompetence. As of this time, the law firm has not proposed a refund for the second fee application, and/or a partial refund for their poor services, which based on their overall culture it is very unlikely this type of resolution may be extended at all.
