Hablo Tacos

The review by the Gordon Ramsay friend. Total bs! I don't believe it. We have never waited to get into Hablo. Best tacos in town! Best regular margarita too! Wait time to tonight was longer than I expected but again the food was great! Will always come back to this place. We don't need Gordon in town anyway!

Gordon Ramsay has been a good friend of mine for over 20 years. He's in Bend (OR) this week, looking to possibly open up a restaurant on the east side of Pilot Butte. When he asked about the best tacos in town, Katie and I brought Gordon to Hablo Tacos.

It was a tough choice between El Sancho and here. Both offer authentic, Mexican flavors for sure, but Gordon wanted to see the east side of town, and Gordon gets what he wants. Unfortunately, unlike El Sancho, the wait to place your food order at Hablo Tacos takes forty minutes to an hour. That is not an exaggeration. Gordon only goes into his infamous rage for show, but this afternoon he almost turned the line into an episode from Dante's Inferno. Yikes.

It took over 50 minutes to finally get to the counter. Absolutely ridiculous. These guys need to hire more people or close down. As for Gordon, he gave Hablo Tacos three out of five stars. Noting, "José Olé would have done just as well." Katie and I concurred 100%.

Frankly, we should've taken Gordon to El Sancho. At least there, there's never a line, and the food is just as good, if not superior. When Gordon returns in May or June, we'll do just that... Now it's off to look at some property. Who wants to open a restaurant?!

This place has a HOLD on us at the hospital. We LOVE IT! Anytime we've had a hard day, someone says "wanna get Hablo?" And we go nuts for it. The green chile cheese tacos are the BEST! Keep it up yall. You're crushing the taco game. And we appreciate you!!!

Had 3 tacos - chicken tinga, Barbacoa, and Al Pastor with rice and beans. If the do, indeed "speak" tacos something got lost in the translation. Soggy as they served all three in one tray. Lacked any distinctive taste or flavor. Could've been so much better. Red and green sauce were watered down or simply weak.

Service consists of ordering and paying at counter. You get a number and they bring the food out to you.

Inside is noisy but there is a nice patio area shared with other dining establishments in the same building.

A no for me. Lo Siento.

I've been living in Bend for a while and completely underwhelmed with the taco scene until now. Hablo tacos finally gave me a reason to eat tacos in Bend (that I don't have to make myself). Seriously, these are where it's at. Every taco is served with a crispy cheese layer in the inside that adds just the perfect crunch and doesn't over power the taco. You must try these!!!

overall a disappointing experience. they were out of 2 of the 3 items I wanted to order, then forgot to make the 1 item I did order. food was very basic, not that flavorful.

Tasty casual taco shop - we enjoyed the covered outdoor seating space after ordering at the counter. Hablo Tacos was recommended by our local friends for a date night while we were in town visiting for the weekend and didn't disappoint, despite being so far north or the border. Try the Vampiro - we ordered a little of everything, and it was our favorite!

The food was very good, and the service was okay, but the portions are small so order extra.

The Rockfish bowl was delicious with all fresh ingredients. The fish was cooked and spiced perfectly and there was a plenty of it for the dish size, which was generous. Salsas were fresh tasting and yummy. We will be back!

Delicious food!! I ate the other day and had to come back for more. HOWEVER I specifically asked for one red and one green sauce with my green chili and mushroom vampiros. I ordered 4 and asked for red with two and green with two. I was told.....they come with one of each!! I received ZERO!!!!! I PAID for chips and salsa so I guess they thought I didn't need the red and green sauce that comes with what I ordered. DISAPPOINTED. ugh I noticed when I got back to the hotel and really don't want to get out in traffic to go get it. Besides that, their line was out the door. The food is amazing but I'd check my order BEFORE you leave if it's takeout. I ordered the same thing two days ago and only received green sauce. The cashier said....they must have been lazy, you should have gotten one of each. Today.....NEITHER!! Ugh I am a salsa fanatic!! I was really looking forward to it.
