This 1970 Cadillac Fleetwood was converted to an ambulance by Miller-Meteor of Piqua, Ohio, and is powered by a 472ci V8 mated to a three-speed automatic transmission. The bodywork is finished in two-tone gray and white over dark red vinyl upholstery, and features include air conditioning, a push-button AM/FM radio, a white vinyl roof, siren and public-address system, flashing red emergency lights, and a roof-mounted beacon light. The rear ambulance portion is outfitted with a raised wood platform, a stretcher, two jump seats, sliding central partition window, a doctor’s bag, and an empty oxygen tank. The vehicle was acquired by the selling dealer in 2023, and subsequent work has reportedly included an oil change as well as replacement of the battery, alternator, and air conditioning compressor. This Cadillac ambulance is now offered by the selling dealer in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina with a clean Virginia title.
The body has been refinished in two-tone gray and white accented by gold pinstripes and lettering on the front doors and swing-out rear door. Details include a white vinyl roof topped by a red beacon light, rear wheel spats, chrome bumpers, and flashing red emergency lights mounted behind the grille, in the inner headlight buckets, and on the front A-pillars. Paint blisters near the rear door are noted by the seller, and various imperfections are pointed out in the gallery below.
The 15″ steel wheels wear brushed covers and are mounted with a mixed set of 235/75 thin-whitewall tires.
The cabin houses a bench seat trimmed in quilted red vinyl upholstery with darker red door panels, a black dashboard, and gray loop carpets protected by rubber mats. Features include air conditioning, a push-button AM/FM radio, a sliding partition window behind the seats, and a control box and microphone for the siren and public-address system mounted beneath the dash along with a switch panel for the beacon lights and rear air conditioning. The seller states that the air conditioning compressor was replaced in preparation for the sale.
A three-spoke steering wheel sits ahead of a horizontally oriented 120-mph speedometer and auxiliary gauges. The five-digit odometer shows approximately 89k miles, though total mileage is unknown.
The rear of the ambulance is outfitted with a raised wood platform, two red vinyl-upholstered jump seats, a wheeled stretcher, empty oxygen tank with a mask, and a doctor’s bag containing various first-aid supplies.
The 472ci V8 sends power to the rear wheels via a three-speed automatic transmission. Work in preparation for the sale is said to have included an oil change and replacement of the battery and alternator.
