Geri's Game - Pixar Shorts
Geri keeps his chess pieces in an old cigar box labeled, Pixar Shorts.
Pixar's short animated films are almost as popular as its animated features. In Pixar's infancy, the shorts were used to push the boundaries of computer animation, building toward their ultimate goal of creating the first computer animated feature (Toy Story, 1995).

Geri's Game - Richmond
The Richmond on the cigar box refers to Pixar Studios' original location, 1001 West Cutting Boulevard in Richmond, California.
After Steve Jobs purchased Pixar from Lucasfilms, the operation was moved from San Rafael, across the bay to Richmond. Surrounded by industrial factories and refineries in Richmond, in 2000 Pixar Studios moved to its current location in Emeryville, California.
